Easypack Solutions and Alcan Packaging have formed a strategic partnership. Alcan Packaging will act as the exclusive North American supplier of its proprietary
bottom semi-rigid film, used in the production of the Butterfly™, a patented innovative single-dose packaging technology.
In mid 2006, Alcan Packaging Italia and Easypack Solutions collaborated to produce the proprietary bottom semi-rigid film . This film is comprised of a specific blend
of PST (polystyrene) and PET (polyethylene). The rigidity of this film allows the user to bend the package up to 90 degrees prior to product dispensing. The Butterfly™
incorporates the use of different barrier types that meet industry specific shelf life properties. The patented variable depth perforating technology that is used in the filling process and that is responsible for forming the opening of the Butterfly™, will accommodate both fluid and viscose products.
